Richard L. Bowen + Associates was retained to prepare detailed
plans to fully renovate and restore this 3-story office and apartment building that had
been vacant for many years. Poorly maintained terra cotta tile and steel lintels were
in need of careful and precise restoration techniques. With the assistance of a restoration
contractor thorough repair of the terra cotta and remaining exterior brought new life
to the building and has inspired other neighborhood improvements. The listing of the Weizer Building on the National Register for Historic Places
allowed the owner to make use of Historic Tax Credits.
