Crittenden Court Apartments

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Size: 208 apartments ranging from 426 s.f. - 1,004 s.f. 7,000 s.f. office/retail
475 garage spaces
Description: Located within Cleveland's Warehouse District, the building overlooks The Flats and contains 208 apartment suites, including studios, one and two bedroom units. Tenant parking is in the adjacent Crittenden Court Garage. In the original plan produced by Richard L. Bowen + Associates, there was to be 100,000 s.f. retail space, an additional office building, condominium town homes and street plaza overlooking the Cuyahoga River. The 18-story Crittenden Court and buildings in the original plan were designed to blend with the historical surroundings. Crittenden Court was constructed of brick and stands as one of the tallest load bearing masonry buildings in Cleveland. It is designed to complement the Midwestern “Chicago School” of architecture defining the area, and sensitive to the continuing development of the Warehouse District
Services: Architecture and Engineering
Challenges: First residential development in downtown Cleveland in 30 years, and one of the tallest load bearing masonry buildings in Cleveland.
