The new station design proposed for this location is based
upon the idea of a station that can lead this neighborhood into the 21st Century.
The design is very contemporary and is meant to announce itself to all who
approach it. Bold, curving forms evolve from the track level, reaching skyward
as they extend up beyond the East 55th Street level some 35-feet.
This station will reach out to potential passengers by means of its striking
forms and bold colors. |
