Jefferson School District Campus

Richard L. Bowen + Associates provided a full complement of construction management services per Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) requirements for these two related projects. Services included coordination with the design team and third parties, estimating, scheduling, Ohio Schools Design Manual compliance review, constructability review, value engineering, design phase submissions, bidding, full field management, monthly core meetings, weekly progress and coordination meetings, cost control and cost reporting, claims resolution, move-in assistance, warranty follow-up and community programs.

The new elementary school is located on a 74-acre lot in the heart of Jefferson Village. The new school is two-story multi wing steel and masonry structure totaling 79,914 SF in size. Completed in October 2008, the new school now holds classes for approximately 640 students.

The new Junior/Senior High School site is a 57-acre lot located just north on the same campus of the recently completed Jefferson Elementary School. The layout of the new school consists of a 7th & 8th grade Jr. High wing along with a 9-12th grade high school wing. With the one structure consisting of two schools having separate administration wings and gymnasiums, they are adjoined under one roof with an impressive 740-seat auditorium and common kitchen. This 163,000-SF steel and masonry building was completed in 2009 and accommodates approximately 930 students.
