Richard L. Bowen + Associates has provided full architectural and engineering services for more than 200 Kohl’s stores throughout the United States. Typical stores consist of freestanding 68,000 or 88,000 SF footprints in open air shopping centers. Occasionally, stores may serve as anchors for a retail mall.

In addition to new store designs, RLB+A also provides site evaluation and design services for multiple conversion projects that can vary from single-level suburban big-box conversions to three-level urban retail conversions. Kohl’s has come to rely on RLB+A to bring innovation in process and design to create a customer-friendly experience at both new and conversion store locations.
