A secure, accessible facility with a reduced carbon footprint
The goal of this project was to provide the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) with a new Post/DHQ on the site of the existing District 2, Post 17. The project began with a programming process that verified and refined the standards and guidelines in the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Design and Construction Programming Guide. The Bowen team then designed a new single-story (plus attic storage) facility that is secure, accessible, represents a smaller carbon footprint, and serves DSP, OSHP, and OFCC’s best practices. Bowen also led the demolition of the existing facility to make way for their new home.
